About The Position

Raley's is hiring a Courtesy Team Member to perform a variety of tasks throughout the front end of the store. The role involves bagging groceries, collecting shopping carts, cleaning, and helping customers. The Courtesy Team Member is expected to be a responsible, friendly, positive team player who works safely at a fast pace, pays attention to detail, and provides excellent customer service.

The role is posted year-round to build a talent pool for future openings; the posting may not reflect current hiring needs. Applicants may be kept on file if interviews are not being scheduled. Candidates should contact their nearest store for the latest information on available positions.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, or 16 with a valid work permit. Internal transfer or promotion candidates must have had no disciplinary action during the past six months, and their current leader must recommend their application and provide an endorsement when requested by HR. Internal candidates may be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to reliably meet the required work schedule and comply with the company attendance policy.
• Must be at least 18 years old, or at least 16 years old with a valid work permit.
• Internal transfer or promotion candidates must have had no disciplinary action during the past six months and must have their current leader’s recommendation and endorsement upon HR’s request.

Responsibilities

• Bag customers’ groceries neatly and orderly, and verify prices for cashiers when necessary.
• Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and assist customers with carrying groceries to their cars.
• Maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude toward customers and other Team Members.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store and restrooms.
• Assist with “go backs” and accompany customers to locate items throughout the store.
