About The Position

Raley's is hiring a Courtesy Team Member to perform a variety of tasks across the store's front end. The role involves bagging groceries, collecting shopping carts, helping customers, and keeping the store clean. The Courtesy Team Member is expected to be friendly, responsible, ready to learn, and able to work at a fast pace while providing a memorable customer experience.

The position is posted year-round to build a talent pool and may not reflect current openings. Applications may be kept on file for future opportunities. Internal transfer or promotion candidates must have had no disciplinary action during the past six months, and their current leader must recommend them and provide an endorsement if requested by HR. Internal candidates may be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a valid work permit.
• Friendly and customer-service oriented.
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
• Able to safely perform the position's physical activities, including lifting and stocking up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Bag customers' groceries neatly and orderly; verify prices for cashiers when necessary.
• Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and assist customers with groceries to their cars.
• Maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude toward customers and other Team Members.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store and restrooms.
• Assist with go-backs and accompany customers to locate items throughout the store.
