About The Position

Raley's is hiring a Courtesy Team Member who is positive, passionate, accountable, and ready to learn. The role performs a variety of tasks throughout the store's front end, including bagging groceries, collecting carts, and cleaning. The Courtesy Team Member works at a fast pace, pays attention to detail, and provides customers with a memorable experience. The position is part of a store team focused on customer service and supporting the community. The posting remains available year-round to build a talent pool and may not reflect current hiring needs; applications may be retained for future openings. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, or 16 with a valid work permit. The company notes that internal transfer or promotion candidates must have had no disciplinary action in the prior six months, and their current leader must recommend and endorse their application upon HR's request. They may be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available.

Requirements

Friendly and customer-service oriented.
Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
Able to reliably meet the required work schedule and comply with the company attendance policy.

Responsibilities

Bag customers' groceries neatly and orderly, and verify prices for cashiers when necessary.
Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and assist customers with carrying groceries to their cars.
Maintain a cheerful, helpful attitude toward customers and other Team Members.
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store and restrooms.
Assist with go-backs and accompany customers to locate items throughout the store.
