About The Position

Raley’s is hiring a positive, passionate, accountable Courtesy Team Member to perform a variety of front-end store tasks. The role includes bagging groceries, collecting carts, cleaning, and helping customers have a memorable shopping experience. The ideal team member is a responsible, friendly player who learns readily, works safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and pays close attention to detail. This position is posted year-round to build a talent pool and may not represent an immediate opening. Applications may be kept on file for future openings. Candidates can contact their nearest store for current availability. Candidates must be 18 years old, or 16 with a valid work permit. For internal transfers or promotions, candidates must have had no disciplinary action in the past six months, and their current leader must recommend their application and provide an endorsement if requested by HR. Internal candidates may be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available. Compensation depends on relevant education, training, experience, and other bona fide factors.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old, or 16 years old with a valid work permit.
Friendly and customer-service oriented.
Self-motivated, with attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
Able to reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
Able to meet the role’s occasional physical demands, including standing, sitting, lifting and stocking up to 50 pounds, pushing, keyboarding, telephone use, walking, and bending.

Responsibilities

Bag customers’ groceries neatly and orderly.
Verify prices for cashiers when necessary.
Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and assist customers with groceries to their cars.
Maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members.
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store and restrooms.
Assist with go-backs and accompany customers to locate items throughout the store.
