About The Position

The Courtesy Bus Driver is an essential member of the airport location team and serves as a brand ambassador, providing customers with a fast, easy, and valued experience. The role is responsible for safely, warmly, and efficiently transporting customers between airport terminals and the Hertz rental location. Drivers welcome customers, assist with luggage, communicate stops and safety information, provide customer service, inspect and maintain the bus, and complete required paperwork. The position requires flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment. The role requires lifting up to 45 pounds and obtaining DOT medical clearance.

Requirements

CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
At least 2 years of customer service experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
Must be able to communicate clearly and proficiently in English.
Must demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors during all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in languages other than English is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Provide timely shuttle service between airport terminals and the Hertz facility in compliance with company policies, procedures, and local laws.
Welcome customers boarding the bus, assist with luggage, and answer questions in a friendly manner.
Communicate stops and safety information using the PA or Talking Bus System; communicate with other Courtesy Service Drivers and the Bus Operations Supervisor using standard codes when needed.
Determine customers’ reservation status and communicate it to the lounge manager; provide excellent customer service using the required customer service dialogue and maintain the appropriate company image.
Inspect the bus for customer and employee safety and report defects or damage to the supervisor.
Maintain an appearance appropriate for customer service in accordance with established guidelines.
Keep the bus tidy and ensure maps are available.
Share customer feedback with the team and participate in action planning to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
Complete relevant paperwork in accordance with Company Audit and Department of Transport standards.

Benefits

Hourly rate of $25.00.
Eligible for overtime pay, subject to company policy and applicable law.
Holiday pay at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked on designated holidays, plus 8 hours of holiday pay.
