About The Position

The Juneau Trial Court is seeking a Court Case Manager 2 to manage assigned court cases from initiation through final disposition. This role ensures accurate case processing, docket management, motion tracking, calendaring, and timely distribution of court orders and legal documents. The position is a key member of the clerk's office, providing customer service to the public, accepting filings and payments, maintaining court records, responding to inquiries, and offering procedural information without providing legal advice. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as an in-court clerk, preparing courtrooms, operating recording equipment, administering oaths, documenting proceedings, and supporting judicial officers to ensure efficient hearings and trials in accordance with Alaska Court System policies. Cross-training and coverage for other clerk's office positions are expected.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer.
  • OR Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a two-year paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.
  • OR A bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
  • A list of at least three (3) professional references, who have had supervisory authority over you along with their daytime contact phone numbers and email addresses.
  • Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations, if available.
  • Certification that you have a legal right to accept employment in the United States.
  • Work experience details including employer’s name, job title, dates of employment and whether full or part-time, if not already documented in the application.
