About The Position

The Civil Division of the Palmer Trial Court is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 1. This position will greet and assist the public; provide general information concerning minor offenses, civil, domestic violence, small claims, appeals, criminal, probate, vital statistics, and jury matters without giving legal advice; assist the public with filing requests, make certified copies of court documents, and perform index searches. You will accept pleadings and issue summons and subpoenas; administer oaths and notarize documents; accept, prepare, and issue marriage license applications and licenses. Additionally, you will receive and receipt payments for monies; traffic fines, criminal bail, fines and restitutions, filing fees, and other court fees; recall warrants when necessary; and docket routine civil paperwork into the case management computer system. Act as backup for preparing files to go to the Appellate Court Records Office; process District Court debt judgments, calculate prejudgment interest, insert attorney fees as directed, enter disposition in the case management system, and disperse to parties; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience.
  • Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
  • A list of at least three (3) professional references, who have had supervisory authority over you along with their daytime contact phone numbers and email addresses.
  • Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations, if available.
  • Applicants must certify that they have a legal right to accept employment in the United States.
