About The Position

The Department of Jewish Studies is inviting applications to teach JWST 320 D1 – Intermediate Hebrew in fall 2026. This course is designed to integrate students at various levels into one group with the aim of improving their basic language skills and preparing them for advanced Hebrew. The course will be taught in-person by one instructor. McGill University is committed to equity in employment and diversity. Requirements

  • Advanced academic degree, preferably a PhD, in a field of relevance to the teaching of Hebrew.
  • Extensive experience teaching Hebrew.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience of teaching at the academic level is a plus.
