About The Position

The Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University is inviting applications to teach a course in Introductory Hebrew (JWST 220 D1) during the Fall 2026 semester. Requirements

  • Advanced academic degree, preferably a PhD, in a field relevant to the teaching of Hebrew.
  • Extensive experience teaching Hebrew.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience of teaching at the academic level is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Teach JWST 220 D1 section 002 – Introductory Hebrew Language acquisition.
  • Conduct the course in-person.
