About The Position
The Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University is inviting applications to teach a course in Introductory Hebrew (JWST 220 D1) during the Fall 2026 semester. Requirements
- Advanced academic degree, preferably a PhD, in a field relevant to the teaching of Hebrew.
- Extensive experience teaching Hebrew.
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience of teaching at the academic level is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach JWST 220 D1 section 002 – Introductory Hebrew Language acquisition.
- Conduct the course in-person.
Benefits
- Salary: $11 824/ course (including vacation pay)
