About The Position

Marken, UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics, is seeking a driver for a two-person team to pick up and deliver packages from local customer locations in the Grapevine, Texas area. This is a permanent, full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The courier is also expected to cover for other drivers during vacation or sick leave.

The role involves loading and unloading shipments, following safety, security, and operating procedures for package pickup and delivery and motor vehicle use, complying with applicable laws, and scanning information on airbills and manifests. Applicants must pass required background investigations, employment verification, criminal-history checks, a credit check, TSA testing, and a drug screen. A $1,000 sign-on/retention bonus is described for qualified candidates hired as of July 1, 2021, paid in two installments subject to continued employment and completion of specified service periods.

Requirements

• Provide verifiable proof of a high school diploma, GED, or higher education.
• Have seven years of verifiable employment and provide a 10-year employment/education history, including periods of unemployment.
• Have a clean driving record for the past three years and maintain a clean, verifiable driving history.
• Pass a credit check, documented background check, criminal-history check, TSA testing, and drug screen.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a valid Class D driver's license; a CDL is not required.
• Meet and maintain MNX Driver Safety Standards.
• Be able to lift more than 70 pounds.
• Be able to communicate in English in writing and verbally, and provide general direction to others.
• Meet the stated U.S. citizenship or work-authorization requirement.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments for delivery.
• Follow all safety, security, and operating procedures for pickup and delivery of customer packages and operation of motor vehicles, and comply with Federal, state, and local laws.
• Scan information on airbills and manifests.
• Cover for other drivers when they are on vacation or sick leave.

Benefits

• A $1,000 sign-on/retention bonus for qualified candidates hired as of July 1, 2021, paid as two $500 installments: after successful completion of 90 days and after six months of continuous service, provided the employee is active at payout.
