About The Position

The Courier transports reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations as part of the patient care process. The role involves proper specimen handling and safe operation of a motor vehicle in varied weather and traffic conditions, while providing customer-focused service to a variety of clients. The Courier supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The position is part-time, benefit-eligible, based in Minden, Louisiana, and scheduled for 25 hours per week on the second shift. The role may involve incidental exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees receive training on safeguards and must follow applicable privacy, confidentiality, and security standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine road hazards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision.
• Physical capability to perform light to medium lifting, up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes, including cars, trucks, and/or vans.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
