About The Position
Rewarding full-time opportunity in Honesdale, Wayne County, PA for a motivated and detail-oriented fiscal professional to utilize expertise in all areas of financial operations. This position leads fiscal operations for several human service agencies and guides staff in managing budgets, reports, and financial reviews. Work involves supporting the county by keeping financial work accurate, organized, and in line with all rules and requirements.
Requirements
- One year as a County Fiscal Officer 2; or Five years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).
Responsibilities
- Manage fiscal functions across multiple human service programs with accuracy and care
- Lead fiscal officers by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and supporting staff performance
- Prepare statements, reconcile accounts, and follow all state and federal reporting standards
- Oversee the creation and monitoring of budgets to meet program and grant rules
- Conduct audits and maintain cost allocation processes that follow federal requirements
- Develop and update systems and procedures that strengthen fiscal operations
