Requirements
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation
- Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment)
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment)
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly fiscal reports and monitor expenditures for program areas
- Review financial records and apply accounting principles to various transactions
- Post entries to the general ledger and prepare adjustments to correct or close accounts
- Monitor funds, reconcile balances, and correct issues during transaction processing
- Develop and evaluate invoices and fiscal reports for Drug & Alcohol and System of Care programs
- Communicate with providers and staff to ensure compliance with contracts and grant requirements
