This position supports Drug & Alcohol programs by reviewing financial activity, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with required standards. The work helps keep accounts accurate and programs well supported.

Requirements

  • Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting
  • Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting
  • Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
  • One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment)
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly fiscal reports and monitor expenditures for program areas
  • Review financial records and apply accounting principles to various transactions
  • Post entries to the general ledger and prepare adjustments to correct or close accounts
  • Monitor funds, reconcile balances, and correct issues during transaction processing
  • Develop and evaluate invoices and fiscal reports for Drug & Alcohol and System of Care programs
  • Communicate with providers and staff to ensure compliance with contracts and grant requirements
