About The Position

Lebanon County Children & Youth Services is seeking a Casework Supervisor to help shape services that protect children and strengthen their futures. This is a challenging and rewarding position within an agency that values leadership, growth, and community well-being. The role provides direct supervision to caseworkers and supports the full range of child welfare responsibilities, ensuring adherence to State and Federal rules, agency policies, and required timelines.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee each caseworker’s placement reviews, guidance, and ongoing service planning.
  • Ensure all case documents, plans, and assessments meet State, Federal, and agency requirements.
  • Review and schedule petitions, forms, and casework meetings with legal representatives.
  • Coordinate case management and counseling services for children, youth, and families facing crises or major life changes.
  • Supervise the review of suspected child abuse or neglect cases.
  • Meet with community partners to align services with the needs of children and youth.
