About The Position
Wayne County Children and Youth Services in Honesdale, PA is seeking an organized, responsible, and motivated individual to join our Social Services Aid Unit team as a County Casework Supervisor. This position oversees key activities in the Social Services Aide Unit to ensure children and families receive support that meets agency standards and their unique needs. The role includes direct supervision, training responsibilities, and collaboration with other unit leaders.
Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities
- Assign work and cases to Social Service Aids, review work, and complete performance evaluations
- Approve leave, sign timesheets and payroll sheets; collaborate with other supervisors, caseworkers, and managers to oversee Aids’ work; and participate in the supervisory on-call rotation
- Evaluate case results to ensure work aligns with approved plans, care standards, and legal requirements
- Provide training to new and existing Aids on agency policies, procedures, best practices, and ongoing updates
- Help review and recommend improvements to policy and procedures that enhance operations and ensure compliance with changes to overall regulations or guidance
