Counter Sales Representative
About The Position
QXO is a distributor and installer of building products serving contractors, builders, homeowners, and commercial customers. The Counter Sales Representative (described in the posting as an Inside Sales Representative) provides customer service and supports sales growth through product knowledge, quotations, order management, and customer relationship development. The role helps customers select products, obtain pricing, process orders, and receive project support. It works closely with Outside Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Delivery teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and efficiently and to deliver a strong customer experience. The position may also offer variable compensation. The listed pay range is USD $19.95–$29.86 per hour; actual offers depend on factors including location, experience, skills, and market data. Benefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.
Requirements
- Previous front-line customer service and sales experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow up with customers, vendors, team members, and management.
- Eagerness and ability to learn and retain substantial product information.

- Construction or building materials industry experience.
- Spanish bilingual proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process requests for price quotes, orders, returns, cancellations, product information and availability, billing inquiries, and corrections.
- Plan and implement telemarketing and prospecting objectives.
- Coordinate delivery and pickup of orders with operations teams.
- Provide support to the Outside Sales team.
- Follow customer financial services pricing guidelines and policies.
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, order processing, and project support.
- Work with Outside Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Delivery teams to complete orders accurately and efficiently.
