Counter Sales Representative

About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers with product selection and orders. The role includes processing transactions, preparing orders for pickup, maintaining store merchandising and restocking, and following workplace safety requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position offers hourly compensation with bonus or incentive plan eligibility.

Requirements

General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
General math skills sufficient for cash accounting.
Ability to learn.
Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of fire protection or fire sprinkler products.

Responsibilities

Advise customers about products that best fit their needs.
Process orders using the order management system.
Operate cash registers and follow established cash-handling procedures.
Prepare and stage orders for customer pickup.
Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards.
Restock merchandise and place it in the appropriate areas.
Maintain a safe working environment, including using required personal protective equipment and following safety regulations.
