About The Position

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, is hiring a Counter Sales Representative in St. Joseph, Missouri. The role maintains product knowledge and promotes new products, assists customers throughout the sales and purchase process, and responds professionally to customer inquiries. It also provides daily assistance with warehouse functions as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, as determined by Echo Electric.
• At least one year of experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
• Ability to communicate effectively, stay organized, and work within a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse, with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving and computer skills.
• Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level, or commitment to complete this training within 18 months of starting the job assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software while maintaining a professional sales demeanor.
• Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, preparing appropriate documentation, and making follow-up calls.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships.
• Stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock requests.
• Arrange and organize point-of-sale displays and shelves so products are visually appealing.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and replenish merchandise.
• Ensure pricing, labels, and promotional signage are accurate and visible.
• Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed.
