About The Position

Under close supervision, the Counter Sales Representative provides quality customer service and support at a key location in the retail and service business segment. The role supports location sales by serving local customers, assisting with product selection and customer problems, and helping develop and grow the business. The representative also supports location maintenance and safety and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Typically, a high school diploma or GED and zero to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
Positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and take a hands-on approach.
Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Comfort with a consultative transaction atmosphere.
Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations.
Basic mechanical or technical inclination.
Basic industrial sales experience.
Basic hydraulic knowledge.

Responsibilities

Support location sales by providing first-class customer service to the local market.
Assist face-to-face customers using familiarity with and knowledge of products.
Troubleshoot customer problems and provide creative solutions.
Identify and build customer assemblies.
Maintain knowledge of how to use all equipment.
Work closely with the Solutions Center Manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business.
Assist the team with overall maintenance of the location.
Help ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
Maintain key customer relationships.
Make customer service and value-add a focal point of every interaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
