About The Position

Interstate Utility Trailer is hiring a Counter Parts Person for its Parts Department in Franklin, Ohio. The role serves as a first point of contact for customers at the counter and by phone, helping them identify truck and trailer parts and ensuring orders are accurate and completed on time. The position includes customer service, parts ordering and inventory tasks, and requires an outgoing, detail-oriented approach.

Requirements

Customer-service orientation and an outgoing personality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong listening skills.
Data-entry skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, stoop or kneel for prolonged periods and reach with arms and hands.

Experience with truck or trailer parts.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and courteously at the counter and on the phone.
Take customer trailer part orders and enter them into the parts inventory system.
Identify appropriate parts using online resources and parts catalogs.
Suggest additional parts and accessories to meet customer needs.
Pull in-stock items from inventory and complete required paperwork before releasing parts.
Ensure parts are picked up or delivered on time.
Check in received parts, match packing lists to orders, and place parts in the proper bins.
Stock and restock the parts warehouse and return unsold merchandise to stock.
Maintain accurate inventory control records and provide updated information for stock orders.
Conduct periodic cycle counts to reconcile in-stock inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned.
