About The Position

CHC Addiction Services is seeking a Master level, licensed Counselor/Social Worker to join their team as a Women's Treatment Counselor. This non-profit social service agency in the Akron area is dedicated to treating, inspiring, supporting, and empowering individuals and families impacted by addiction. The Women's Treatment Counselor will provide direct service to clients at the Touchstone location through individual and group counseling. This role involves evaluating assessments, developing and facilitating treatment plans, and coordinating services with agency and community resources. CHC provides a private office, quality supervision, and ongoing training and CEUs.

Requirements

Master’s Degree
Active Ohio license to counsel as an LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC III, and/or LICDC
At least one year of clinical experience treating patients with substance use disorders

Responsibilities

Interview patients
Coordinate assessment
Summarize and evaluate problem areas and patient strengths
Develop treatment plans
Complete appropriate case management and review as per agency procedures
Provide individual group, and or family counseling to assigned cases in accordance with the policies and procedures of CHC and the Code of Ethics
Completing thorough and concise documentation of each step of the patient's treatment
Participate and present patient cases weekly in clinical supervision meetings and seek additional professional consultation as needed.
