About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides excellent service and sells Bloomingdale’s assortment both in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The advisor is welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keeps energy alive on the sales floor, and puts customer needs first.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, seamless, and enjoyable in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
• Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and using technology proficiently.
• Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
• Provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and trend advice.
• Maintain compelling merchandise presentation.
