About The Position

As a Vehicle Cosmetic Inspector at BluCar, you will help ensure the accuracy and quality of vehicle descriptions presented to customers. The role involves inspecting vehicles for cosmetic damage, documenting findings, and supporting the efficiency of the auction process. The work takes place in indoor and outdoor environments and may involve extreme heat or cold. Travel to DFW is required for training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency using digital photography equipment and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess and document cosmetic damage accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or certification in automotive technology or a related field.
• Previous experience in automotive detailing, bodywork, or cosmetic inspection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify and document cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, paint imperfections, and other aesthetic flaws.
• Record inspection findings accurately in Copart's proprietary software systems.
• Take high-quality photographs that show vehicles' strengths and any cosmetic imperfections.
• Follow Copart's standards and guidelines to ensure consistent, accurate cosmetic assessments.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Inspectors, Auction Coordinators, and Customer Service Representatives to support communication and auction operations.
• Address inquiries and concerns about vehicle condition and cosmetic discrepancies.
• Participate in training and educational opportunities to improve vehicle inspection knowledge and skills.
