About The Position

As a Vehicle Cosmetic Inspector at BluCar, you will help ensure the accuracy and quality of vehicle descriptions presented to customers. You will inspect vehicles for cosmetic damage, document findings, and support the efficiency of the auction process. Travel to DFW is required for training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with digital photography equipment and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and document cosmetic damage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or certification in automotive technology or a related field.
• Previous experience in automotive detailing, bodywork, or cosmetic inspection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual vehicle inspections to identify and document scratches, dents, paint imperfections, and other cosmetic flaws.
• Record inspection findings in Copart’s proprietary software systems, documenting relevant details for transparent representation to potential buyers.
• Photograph vehicles to show their condition, strengths, and cosmetic imperfections.
• Follow Copart’s standards and guidelines for consistent, accurate cosmetic inspections.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Inspectors, Auction Coordinators, and Customer Service Representatives to support communication and auction operations.
• Address inquiries and concerns about vehicle condition and cosmetic discrepancies.
• Participate in training and educational opportunities to improve vehicle inspection knowledge and skills.
