About The Position

This role focuses on teaching plumbing skills and overseeing inmate work in both classroom and job site settings. The position supports smooth facility operations while guiding inmates through structured learning. As a Corrections Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties: Training Delivery: Teach plumbing practices, systems, and procedures in classroom and work settings Crew Oversight: Direct inmate work crews and inspect completed assignments Record Keeping: Document training progress, attendance, and daily schedules Tool Control: Manage, issue, and inventory tools and materials used during training Material Planning: Determine needed supplies and submit purchase requests.

Requirements

Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
