Copywriter

Justworks is seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced copywriter to join their marketing team and help shape the brand's tone and messaging. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative problem-solving, generating impactful ideas, and pushing the boundaries of the brand. They will be responsible for owning all aspects of copy at the brand level, collaborating with designers and art directors, and providing strategic guidance to clarify business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in copywriting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changes in the external environment.

• Push the brand tonally overall and shape the brand's direction and voice
• Explore new creative channels, technology, approaches, and assets for campaigns
• Own all copy-related tasks at the brand level, including headlines, paid social/digital, brand copy, scripts, concept/presentation write-ups, etc.
• Collaborate with Art Directors and designers to develop and execute various deliverables such as campaigns, social media content, scripts, videos, and digital assets
• Provide strategic advice to clarify business objectives, define key messages, and differentiate product offerings
• Conduct research and gather insights from platforms, consumer feedback, and culture to make relevant recommendations
• Conceptualize, communicate, present, and create ideas while applying brand-level awareness and campaign tactics
• Collaborate with internal teams and departments to understand goals, strategy, and feedback
• Manage feedback, revisions, and reviews proactively
• Oversee work through the production stage to completion
• Simplify complex products and audiences into concise and meaningful copy
• Brainstorm new ideas and use data and insights to enhance campaigns
• Contribute individually and collaborate effectively with others
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
• Apply business insight and functional expertise to advance organizational goals
• Continuously learn and adapt to new problems and changes in the external environment
• Communicate effectively through oral, written, visual, and non-verbal means

• Minimum of 5 years of copy experience at a creative agency or in-house brand creative team
• Strong conceptual thinking and excellent communication skills (verbal, written, visual)
