About the position
Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to prioritize, schedule and execute projects
- Partner with Product to define and execute the team’s long-term strategy and quarterly roadmap
- Communicate and coordinate with other teams to understand requirements and opportunities for improvement
- Mentor engineers to help them grow their technical skills
- Provide guidance, both technical and non-technical, to direct reports
- Attract, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of engineers
- Help drive sound technical decision-making and lead technical conversations with other teams
- Instill a sense of empathy in the team for internal stakeholders to create better user experiences
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of core web development technologies
- High level of empathy and interpersonal skills
- Ability to grasp and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong technical background
- Passion for mentoring and growing teams
- Experience coordinating projects and prioritization
- Ability to work with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to develop and ship new features
- Experience defining and executing long-term strategies and roadmaps
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of engineers
- Sound technical decision-making skills

Base wage range of $205,000.00 to $220,000.00 per year (based in New York City)
