About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team at Taiga, a leader in the electric vehicle industry. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the placement and tracking of purchase orders and handling the procurement of indirect goods to support our operations. The role requires a strong focus on process management, vendor relations, and ensuring that supplies are delivered on time to meet production needs.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive sector.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships effectively both locally and internationally.
Timeline management and vendor follow-up to ensure on time delivery
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, purchase order management, and inventory control.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Work closely with supply chain and engineering team to coordinate the creation, placement, and tracking of purchase orders for direct and indirect goods, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all orders.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the on-time delivery of materials, responsibility for supply chain of assigned parts from supplier identification to reception, resolve any issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery, and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Identify opportunities for improving procurement processes and collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Responsible for ensuring all necessary information is provided to Accounts Payable team to efficiently process payments. Generate regular reports on procurement status and resolve any blockers on order placements, deliveries, and invoice discrepancies.
