About The Position

The University Testing Center (UTC) supports faculty in implementing authorized testing accommodations that are difficult to provide in classrooms, and provides students with alternate testing times and locations for other legitimate reasons. The Coordinator is often the first point of contact for students and faculty receiving services at Binghamton University's Health Sciences Campus (HSC), and is expected to deliver excellent customer service and support UTC programs. The Coordinator works closely with the Director on center management, staff supervision, budget, and vision. The position maintains UTC service documentation and databases; schedules exams; administers Calculus Placement Exams during interim semesters; coordinates assessment logistics at HSC; and presents information about UTC services. The Coordinator actively proctors exams, enforces testing policies, supports testing technology, supervises and trains student proctors, handles exam materials securely, and compiles operational data. The role also collaborates with Student Support Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) and other offices, represents UTC at campus events and committees, and may provide coverage at the Main Campus testing center. This is a full-time, temporary position for one year due to a promotional hold, with an expectation of transition to a term appointment in the future. The salary is $54,090. The schedule includes occasional evenings and weekends and extended availability during finals week. The role shifts toward project completion and logistical preparation during off-peak periods.
