About The Position

The Security Coordinator supports security team efforts by investigating incidents, gathering and documenting evidence, and protecting company assets. The role serves as a role model, trainer, coach, and mentor who promotes safe and diligent work practices. It also acts as a liaison with landowners and managers to ensure lease compliance and contributes to company drug, alcohol, and contraband compliance programs.

The coordinator evaluates and enhances security across company properties and field operations; conducts vulnerability, threat, and site assessments; responds to and documents security incidents; and inspects property and facilities for integrity and surface-use compliance. The role coordinates repairs and resources, works with landowners, contractors, and law enforcement, manages reporting in Security/HSE systems, and delivers training in partnership with corporate and field teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in law enforcement.
• Experience in law enforcement investigations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and people skills.
• Valid driver’s license that must be maintained.
• Ability to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• State certification as a Commissioned Security and/or Personal Protection Officer.
• Verifiable general experience in drilling, completion, well servicing, production, and construction operations.
• General knowledge of OSHA, TCEQ, TRRC, ANSI, NIOSH, API, AESC, PMSHA, and DOT Pipeline drilling standards, and accepted safe practices for the petroleum industry.
• Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with oilfield terminology and operations.
• Prior experience as a mentor and coach.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor, and enhance security across owned and leased properties, facilities, and field operations.
• Conduct security vulnerability, threat, and site assessments across production, drilling, completion, and construction locations.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, crashes, fraud, and theft, including written documentation and reporting.
• Inspect company and leased properties to ensure the integrity of facilities, fences, gates, and roads, and to verify surface-use compliance.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and resource needs to address security and property issues.
• Serve as liaison with landowners, lessors, contractors, and local, state, and federal law enforcement.
• Manage incident notification, follow-up reporting, and documentation within Security/HSE systems.
• Deliver security training and support company-wide security and loss-prevention initiatives in partnership with Corporate and field teams.
• Promote safe and diligent work practices and contribute to company drug, alcohol, and contraband compliance programs.
