About The Position

AFC Materials Group is seeking a Cooking Solutions Lead to assist workers in fabricating specialty lightweight food belts and fabric pieces for its Quick Serve Restaurant line of business. The role oversees daily activities required to process production jobs, ensuring safety throughout the process. The successful candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have experience operating heat-sealing machines.

The position is based in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, with a Monday through Thursday schedule from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Compensation is $17.00–$19.00 per hour, plus a $2.50 shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of related leadership or other related experience.
• Experience operating a heat sealer, hand sealer, four-corner machine, and die cutter.

Responsibilities

• Work at different workstations as production needs require and as directed by the supervisor.
• Apply knowledge of quality control and maintain attention to detail.
• Maintain the work area, performing light cleaning as necessary.
• Oversee daily activities required to process current production jobs and ensure safety throughout the process.
• Promote a positive team environment.
• Suggest process improvements, support necessary change, and follow through on changes.
• Ensure the department’s work environment and processes are safe, and train employees in established company processes.
• Promptly escalate safety, quality, production, or other issues that affect production to the supervisor.
• Support, clearly communicate, and enforce company policies and initiatives.
• Complete all inventory transactions correctly in the ERP system.
