About The Position

As a Cook at Eggslut at The Cosmopolitan, you will skillfully apply culinary techniques and help create a welcoming guest experience. You will understand guests’ stories and needs and contribute to memorable experiences. The role involves maintaining knowledge of food products and menu items, using kitchen equipment safely, preparing food with attention to detail, and supporting the kitchen team during service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to work on-call, varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar resort setting.
• One or more years of relevant experience as a cook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques.
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
• Label and date products properly to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail in plate presentation.
• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in executing service.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the preparation of base sauces, stocks, and soups.
• Work as part of a team and assist with guests’ needs and inquiries.
