About The Position

The Cook (AM) prepares high-quality hot food and menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards, helping create memorable dining experiences for hotel guests. The role also supports higher-ranked cooks with basic food preparation and simple cooking tasks, including salads, sides, and basic breakfast items. The Cook inspects completed dishes for quality and presentation, maintains clean, stocked, and sanitary workstations, uses kitchen equipment and recipes, and follows applicable food handling, storage, safety, health, sanitation, and alcohol awareness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Perform basic food preparation and simple cooking tasks, such as salads, sides, and basic breakfast, to assist higher-ranked cooks.
• Inspect preparations and dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary and follow proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Master and use kitchen equipment and recipes to meet product and operational needs.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
