About The Position

The Cook provides food and nutritional services that meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of residents in a sanitary and safe environment, in accordance with or exceeding the standards of regulating agencies. This AM position is scheduled from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and follow standardized recipes.
• Basic understanding of workplace sanitation and safety regulations, or the ability to learn them.
• Basic understanding of food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures, or the ability to learn them.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and nutritional services that meet residents’ nutritional and therapeutic needs.
• Maintain a sanitary and safe food-service environment that meets or exceeds regulatory standards.
