About The Position

Brock & Company is hiring a full-time Cook for its corporate dining operation. The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves foods as directed by the supervisor, following verbal and written instructions for menu production, recipes, cooking techniques, and food presentation. The role includes preparing soups, sauces, salads, entrées, catering items, and other menu offerings; setting up a station before service; maintaining a clean and safe work area; and providing courteous customer service. The position may also include receiving and storing deliveries and performing other duties assigned by the supervisor. The posting lists a pay rate of $18–$22 an hour. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits. Uniforms and meals are provided.

Requirements

Understand verbal and written recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for preparing daily menus.
Follow health and safety regulations related to equipment use and personal hygiene.
Be able to stand for extended periods.
Be able to move objects weighing approximately 35 pounds to waist height.
Follow client and company COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation protocols.
Have a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve soups, sauces, salads, entrées, catering items, and other foods as directed by the Chef Manager or supervisor.
Set up the station before service with the equipment and food identified by the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
Provide courteous customer service.
Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate, and stow deliveries.
Follow verbal and written instructions for menu production, recipes, cooking methods, techniques, and presentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
