About The Position

Brock & Company is hiring a full-time Cook for its corporate dining program. The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves foods selected by the supervisor, following verbal and written instructions for menu production, recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation. The role includes preparing soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering, and other menu items; setting up a station before service; and completing light administrative tasks using a computer and tablet. The Cook maintains a clean and safe work area, follows food-handling and workplace safety requirements, and provides courteous customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Pay is $23 per hour. Uniforms and meals are provided.

Requirements

Comprehend verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for preparing daily menus.
Use a computer and tablet for light administrative duties as needed.
Follow health and safety regulations concerning equipment use and personal hygiene.
Stand for extended periods.
Move objects weighing approximately 35 pounds to waist height.
Adhere to client and company protocols concerning COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Produce, prepare, and cook soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering, and other items as determined by the Chef Manager.
Follow menu production instructions, recipes, cooking techniques, and food presentation requirements.
Perform light administrative duties using a computer and tablet as needed.
Set up the station before service with the appropriate equipment and food, as directed by the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
Provide courteous customer service at all times.
Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate, and stow deliveries.
Perform other jobs as determined by the supervisor.
