About The Position
Cadia Healthcare is seeking a part-time Cook for its Renaissance location in Millsboro, Delaware. The Cook prepares and/or directs the preparation of food for service, following established food production programs and procedures and complying with sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards. The role also uses facility supplies and equipment appropriately to minimize loss.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and service.
- Previous cooking experience is recommended.
- ServSafe certification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of local and state health, sanitation, and safety codes is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of kitchen cookware and appliances.
- ServSafe Allergens certification is recommended.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or direct the preparation of food using established production procedures and systems, as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- Determine and ensure the timely availability of supplies and food, or approved substitutions, in adequate quantities for preparation.
- Prepare food according to standard recipes and special diet orders.
- Maintain HACCP logs and daily production records.
- Follow safety regulations and precautions; clean and maintain food-preparation equipment; and use proper food preparation and handling techniques.
- Follow applicable federal and state long-term-care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
