About The Position

XCAL Shooting Sports and Fitness is seeking a professional Cook/Line Prep Cook to join their team. This role involves preparing food according to specifications and setting up stations for the menu. The Cook/Line Prep Cook will assist the Executive and Sous Chef with daily tasks and play a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. XCAL offers a unique and fun-filled experience by integrating shooting sports and fitness in one convenient location, featuring multiple shooting ranges, a full-service restaurant, lounge, retail space, fitness areas, a dojo, spin studio, group fitness, spa services, and a child activity center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook, preferred
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry's best practices

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report, and follow Executive or Sous Chef's instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
