About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Orlando is seeking a Cook III to join the Oscar's team. The Cook III prepares hot food items and supports memorable guest dining experiences at a luxury hotel surrounded by Walt Disney Resort. The property has 502 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and seven food and beverage outlets.

The role involves preparing menu items according to recipes and quality standards, fulfilling guest orders efficiently, performing basic food preparation and simple cooking tasks to assist higher-ranked cooks, and inspecting dishes for quality and presentation. The Cook III also maintains stocked, sanitary workstations; follows food handling, storage, and safety protocols; uses kitchen equipment and recipes; and complies with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare guest orders efficiently while supporting a positive dining experience.
• Perform basic prep work and simple cooking tasks, such as salads, sides, and basic breakfast items, to assist higher-ranked cooks.
• Inspect preparations and dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary, following food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Master kitchen equipment and recipes to meet product and operational needs.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
