About The Position
SSP America is hiring a full-time Cook 2 for its restaurants at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The role involves receiving food orders, preparing dishes for guests, and setting up the kitchen so team members have products and tools readily accessible during their shifts. Requirements
- At least one year of experience working in a food service environment.
- Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and practice portion control when preparing, garnishing, and presenting ordered items.
- Maintain proper and adequate daily setup of the kitchen or station.
- Handle, store, and rotate products properly.
- Maintain stock and cut and store perishables daily to ensure product quality.
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
- Take responsibility for the quality of products served.
- Perform assigned general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products and adhere to health standards.
