About The Position

The Utility/Dishwasher helps create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas. The role involves cleaning surfaces and equipment, clearing and resetting tables, washing and storing dishes and cookware, handling refuse, and assisting with food and supply handling. The Utility/Dishwasher may also assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to a server or supervisor. The position is at Chili's at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and pays $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hygienic work areas to create a positive guest experience.
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings as needed, and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans; wash them by hand or load them into a dishwasher, then return them to proper storage.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; this may include using heavy equipment.
• Assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to a server or supervisor.
• Load and unload supply trucks and transfer items between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
