About The Position

SSP America is hiring a full-time Restaurant Cashier for its restaurant portfolio at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The portfolio includes Chili's, Max & Erma's, Buddy's, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, processing orders quickly and accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and service standards. The position pays $17.00 per hour plus tips. Hiring is immediate.

Requirements

One year of experience working in a food service environment.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Ability to operate a keyboard and follow point-of-sale procedures to pre-check orders and close out checks.
Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Make guests' days and provide excellent customer service.
Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
Receive customer payments and process change.
Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks, as well as a variety of food items.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Keep the work area clean throughout the day.
Clean equipment and utensils; remove trash; sweep and mop the work area; and dust and clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
