Requirements
- Experience in cooking or quantity food preparation; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Submit and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Cook menu items by following recipes and prepare ingredients such as meats, vegetables, and eggs
- Assign and inspect routine food tasks completed by food service workers
- Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely
- Check and record food temperatures before and after blast chilling and refrigeration
- Wash utensils, clean work areas, and maintain sanitation of equipment and surfaces
- Supply food to the tray line and assist with deliveries of perishable items
