About The Position

Cook 1 is an entry-level position at Tuklo Grill. Working under the guidance of the Sous Chef, the Cook maintains standards established by the Executive Chef for food preparation and presentation in the assigned kitchen, including preparation, tasting, presentation, and sanitation. The role is full-time, pays $15.50 per hour, and days and shifts vary based on business needs. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available as an option.

Requirements

Speak, read, and write English.
Food Safety Certification.
Six months of culinary experience, or an equivalent combination of culinary education and experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
Cook food using methods including baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, and boiling; prepare appealing meals, taste foods before serving, and provide garnishes.
Provide guests with high-quality, fresh food using standardized recipes and preparation methods.
Control waste through proper production levels and portion guidelines.
Store and label prepared and opened food according to Choctaw Nation food safety guidelines.
Follow proper food storage practices and suitable food-serving temperatures.
Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by following housekeeping procedures and cleaning while working.
Assist with food production setup, service, and cleanup.
Rotate stock to ensure items are used or discarded before their expiration dates.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
