About The Position
Shared Practices Group is a fast-growing multi-site healthcare organization (Dental Support Organization – DSO) with 45+ locations nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations, financial reporting, and team development in a high-growth environment. This role reports directly to the CFO and oversees the full accounting team.
Requirements
- CPA required
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- 3+ years in Controller / Senior Accounting Manager / Accounting Director role
- Experience in multi-entity, multi-location accounting
- Healthcare, dental, or DSO experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Proven experience managing remote teams
- Experience supporting audits or private equity diligence preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly close process and improve close timelines
- Prepare GAAP financial statements across multiple entities
- Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606) and reconcile variances
- Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead audit preparation and external audit processes
- Manage and develop a remote accounting team (AP, Tax, etc.)
- Support multi-location expansion (entity setup, banking, ERP, payroll)
- Own and optimize NetSuite ERP system
