The Controller supports operations by managing firm‐wide financial performance through communicating financial results with the Executive Team / owners / partners, presenting financial forecasting models to the Executive Team / owners / partners, assisting the Executive Team / owners / partners in developing an annual budget; maintaining the annual budget, overseeing AP, AR and payroll functions, procuring and maintaining insurance policies and ensuring compliance with annual insurance audits, working with outside tax accountant when necessary for tax preparation and financial planning and reporting and remitting various taxes including sales & use, property, franchise and federal income taxes. The Controller will be self-directed on day-to-day work and independently perform most responsibilities. In coordination with the Executive Team, the Controller will lead department initiatives of complex scope and broader programs, and coordinate activities of other personnel. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. The Controller will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
