About The Position

We're seeking a Contract Coordinator who will provide operational and administrative support to the Contract Negotiation team by coordinating payer contracting activities from initiation through implementation. Expressable is a virtual speech therapy practice on a mission to transform care delivery and expand access to high-quality services, serving thousands of clients since our inception in late 2019. We are passionate advocates of parent-focused intervention. Our e-learning platform contains thousands of home-based learning modules authored by our clinical team, helping SLPs empower caregivers to integrate speech therapy techniques into their child’s daily life and improve outcomes. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare administrative support, provider contracting, medical billing, revenue cycle or a related healthcare administrative role.
  • Hands-on experience completing and submitting credentialing applications for commercial payers, medicaid, and medicare.
  • Must have basic knowledge of payer agreements.
  • Prior experience working directly with payers.
  • Experience following up with payers regarding application status.
  • Detail Orientation & Quality Control: Maintains a high level of accuracy across provider data, documentation, and submissions; proactively audits information across systems to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Process Management & Follow-Through: Manages multiple deadlines simultaneously; follows up consistently with payers and internal partners to drive work to completion; documents actions and status clearly to ensure continuity and visibility.
  • Provider & Stakeholder Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally with payers and internal teams; serves as a reliable point of contact for contracting-related questions.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Assist with investigating denials or authorization problems tied to credentialing status; escalates appropriately and proposes practical, compliant solutions when barriers arise.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or some college preferred
  • Experience working with commercial insurance and/or government payers is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of payer credentialing and enrollment workflows preferred.
  • Comfortable navigating payer portals and researching payer-specific requirements.
  • Experience with electronic document management.

Responsibilities

  • Submit new provider and organizational contract requests to commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers.
  • Monitor contract application status and conduct routine follow-up with payer representatives to ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain detailed tracking of all contract submissions and negotiations.
  • Organize and maintain electronic contract files and documentation.
  • Assist Contract Negotiators with administrative support throughout the contracting lifecycle.
  • Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Credentialing, Revenue Cycle, Provider Operations, Finance, Clinical Operations, and Information Technology teams to facilitate successful implementation of newly executed agreements.
  • Conduct reimbursement research utilizing payer fee schedules, Medicare, Medicaid, and other publicly available resources.
  • Monitor and manage the Contracting shared mailbox.
  • Maintain professional relationships with payer representatives and internal stakeholders.
