About The Position
The Continuous Durarome Line Operator performs routine procedures according to written work instructions to complete manufacturing processes. The role operates production equipment and maintains manufacturing-process documentation to meet organizational and regulatory standards. The operator also keeps manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials clean. The position is responsible for plant centrifuge and rotary drying operations, supporting production quality and quantity objectives while maintaining a safe environment. The operator follows standard operating procedures and uses batch cards, work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine drying times and temperatures. Duties include handling prescribed ingredients, starting rotary dryers, and monitoring and adjusting equipment controls within established limits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate, and correct problems associated with plant operations.
- Knowledge of computers, office applications, and accounting software.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of SAP.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate plant centrifuge and rotary drying equipment to meet quality and quantity objectives while maintaining a safe environment.
- Read batch cards, work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine drying times and temperatures.
- Weigh and dump or scoop prescribed solid, granular, or powdered ingredients into the rotary dryer according to formulation and batch-card instructions.
- Start rotary dryers for the specified time.
- Observe gauges, dials, and product characteristics, and adjust controls to maintain appropriate temperature and ingredient flow within prescribed limits.
- Maintain documentation on manufacturing processes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Maintain clean manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials.
- Troubleshoot, anticipate, and correct problems associated with plant operations.
