About The Position

The Durarome Centrifuge Operator performs routine procedures by following written work instructions to complete manufacturing processes. The role operates production equipment and maintains manufacturing-process documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. It also involves keeping manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials clean. The operator is responsible for plant centrifuge and rotary drying operations, with the aim of meeting quality and quantity objectives while maintaining a safe environment. The position includes using batch cards, work orders, recipes, and formulas to determine drying times and temperatures, handling ingredients according to formulation instructions, operating rotary dryers, and monitoring and adjusting controls to maintain prescribed conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate, and correct problems associated with plant operations.
Knowledge of computers, office applications, and accounting software.

Knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Operate plant centrifuge and rotary drying processes to meet quality and quantity objectives while maintaining a safe environment.
Read batch cards, work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine drying times and temperatures.
Weigh and add prescribed solid, granular, or powdered ingredients to the rotary dryer according to formulation and batch-card instructions.
Start rotary dryers for the specified time.
Observe gauges, dials, and product characteristics, and adjust controls to maintain appropriate temperature and ingredient flow within prescribed limits.
Maintain documentation on manufacturing processes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Keep manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials clean.
