About The Position
In the MoWest Center for Academic Support (CAS), content tutoring is a term used to describe tutoring for subject areas other than general studies mathematics and writing. Content Tutors are listed for specific courses on the CAS website, and all Content Tutors are hired because of their knowledge in discipline(s).
Requirements
- Degree seeking MoWest Student
- Enrolled at least part-time
- Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Received an A or B in the course applicant is interested in tutoring.
- Obtain a recommendation by the professor who currently teaches the course or who has taught the course in the past, or, in special circumstances, by the department chairperson.
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to applicants who received an A in the aforementioned course
- Applicants who are eligible for Federal Work Study are encouraged to apply
